EPHS Senior, Ashleigh M. Gil, has recently claimed 3rd at HOSA State competition allowing her to advance to national competition this coming June. Health Occupations Students of America is led by Mrs. Deborah Lopez and Ms. Amanda Garcia, both educators at Eagle Pass High School. Ashleigh has been studying rigourously, reading for hours at a time, in preparation for the event of nutrition and is focused on succeeding at the national level.  Ashleigh hopes to receive her Pharmacy Technician Certification by the end of May and place at nationals in June. The competition will be held at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She is eager to attend Texas A&M University in College Station in the fall and begin her journey to obtain a nutrition and dietetics degree. Ashleigh aspires to become a Registered Dietitian one day. Eagle Pass High School is already very proud of Ashleigh and her huge accomplishment. Best of luck Ashleigh!!
